Bloomingdale’s Stratford Square is undergoing a $30 million-plus redevelopment that will redefine the center as a neighborhood destination for entertainment, dining, activities and sports being 60% of the development while retaining 40% for national retail tenants.
This began in 2015 with the new 40,000 square foot Round One Entertainment complex, featuring bowling, billiards, games and karaoke. In 2016 new top of the line Victoria’s Secret/Pink and Bath & Body were added along with the state of the art 10,000 square foot Center Stage Dance Studio, and a Gloria Jean’s kiosk in center court. In 2017, Harley Davidson Wild One opened in 4,000 square feet offering quality apparel and they will be opening a 2 acre training track in the Spring of 2018.
Other fun 2017 adds included ToPlay VR offering virtual reality, Painted Penguin kids activities, Chords for musical instruments and lessons and Robothink where young engineers can build projects.
Under construction for 2018 is a 10,000 square foot brewery featuring outdoor seating, fire pits, and an indoor open kitchen with 12 brew tanks. This exciting development it is projected to open in June.
Further development to add to the mixed use nature of the line-up are a grocery store, a fitness club, ice skating, pickle ball, more restaurants and possible apartments. In December 2017 ownership acquired the former Macy’s building in order to facilitate those developments.
